Nearly 3 years ago in January 2022, we released our first folder ever, Raiden. It was the birth of Null and marked a massive milestone in my life. I was finally able to bring something that started out as an idea into reality. From a simple sketch to CAD design and 3d printed models I had every intention to make my first ever folder as perfect as possible. After all, it took about 1.5 years from our initial sketches to workable prototypes. I combed over every detail and obsessed over every measurement ensuring it would come out exactly as I had envisioned. All that hard work paid off, and the release of Raiden was a massive success! Our pre-order sold out in minutes and I was awestruck. Something that I designed was so loved by the community that I had been apart of. I will never forget that feeling and sense of accomplishment. To be able to share that with you all was an incredible experience. It motivated me to push my personal boundaries, explore the world of design, and gave me confidence in what I was doing.
Since the launch of the Raiden, we have introduced a few new models, yet we consistently receive requests for Raidens to return. "When will you restock Raidens?", "Are you going to release Raidens again?" I've been wanting to release another round of Raidens for a long time, but it had to be done properly and harbor some meaningful updates to truly make it a worthy follow up to our first ever design.
All that to say, I am so EXCITED to introduce Raiden R2 (revision 2/round 2). The highly anticipated successor to our original folder that marked the birth of Null Knives. Raiden R2 is a tribute to our roots, enhanced with significant upgrades that elevate both aesthetics and functionality.

Key Updates:

New Milling Patterns - Choose from 3 options. 2 new stunning patterns - Aero and Type-S for a unique grip and visual appeal that reflects your personal style.
- Magnacut - Out with the old, in with the new. The blade steel has been upgraded to Magnacut and hardened to 63-64 HRC.
- Faux Pivot Collars - Faux collars milled into the frame to sit flush with the pivot for a cleaner and refined look.

Redesigned Pivot Heads - Pivot heads are now fully titanium for further customization. We also redesigned them to sit flat with the faux collars and refined the micro milling. The flattened design also improves leverage with T8 Torx bits.
- Weight Relief - Thoughtful design adjustments have resulted in effective weight relief. The internal milling also gets the Type S treatment for some subtle detailing.

Blade Cutout - Much like the Raikou, we added a blade cutout to enhance and facilitate one handed opening whether through a reverse flick or finger roll.

Clip Update - We updated the clip to better flow with the design. It also features a cutout on the underside to relieve tension.
Pre-order Details:
The pre-order for the Raiden R2 is set to open on November 19th at 1pm ET. The pre-order will include over 7 different configurations with pricing starting at $300. We aimed to keep pricing close to our original Raiden. An exceptional design with exceptional value.
Wait times for pre-orders have been drastically reduced! We are looking at a 4 month wait time once the pre-order concludes. Speaking of, the pre-order will be open for 1 week, no limits on any particular configuration (besides our launch exclusive) but we do have an overall quantity limit.
